Questions and Answers

An adjustment is rarely painful. Following your treatment, you will most likely feel relief and more mobile. However it is also possible to feel temporary stiffness or soreness.

An adjustment is the manual application of a precise and specifically targeted force on a restricted joint. That is, a joint that is not moving well, and the adjustment aims to improve its range of motion. The adjustment is gentle and can emit a cavitation, which can sound like a “cracking” noise. This is simply a gas bubble being released from the synovial liquid in the joint, thus re-establishing normal movement.

Xrays help verify the quality and condition of your internal structures, such as spinal alignment. These images are used in conjunction with the physical exam to confirm a diagnosis and determine the best way to correct the problem at hand.

Pain is often the last step of a mechanical issue. The goal of the chiropractor is to correct the cause of your problem, not just relieve your symptoms. If a problem is not resolved long term, your pain is more likely to recur.

Absolutely! Children today also live with stress related to their lifestyle. Often, their schedules are very busy, their school bags are heavy and they spend hours in front of screens. These young patients can develop neck and back pain, as well as poor postures. You can consult your chiropractor for any of these concerns.

Yes! The body of a pregnant woman changes drastically during pregnancy and there is added stress that develops onto the spine and nervous system. Pregnant women often consult for rib pain, pelvic and low back pain, headaches and carpal tunnel pain.
